You love them like crazy but the kids can make you go crazy too. For some, that means yelling your heads off. Be careful though. Words can be powerful, especially to the little ears.
Yelling drowns the ‘true’ message that you want to convey to them. It makes them feel bad and sad. And quite possibly it makes you feel bad too. Imagine what happen if you do it regularly?
For starters, many children who constantly get yelled at become fearful, lacks self confidence and may likely to show aggressive behaviour later on. Some may even have difficulty concentrating at school because they are constantly ‘tuning out’ shouting as a way to defend themselves at home.
Lead by example. Give them a happy home to go back to.
